EPS cement sandwich panels can be used as flooring materials due to their light weight, thermal insulation and durability. However, when using EPS cement sandwich panels as floors, you need to pay attention to the following key points:
Moisture-proof treatment: Since EPS material has strong water absorption, the board needs to be moisture-proof before being used as a floor, such as applying moisture-proof protective paint.- Ground smoothness: Before laying EPS cement sandwich panels, the ground must be smooth, dry, and clean to avoid hollowing or unevenness after the floor is laid.
- Paving environment: Choose a suitable ambient temperature for paving, usually between 16°C and 30°C. Avoid construction under extreme climate conditions.
- Construction time: It is best to carry out paving in spring and autumn, because the temperature and humidity in these two seasons are more suitable and have less impact on the floor itself.
- Material storage: Flooring materials should be stored at room temperature for two days before paving, in a ventilated and dry place, and protected with plastic film to avoid moisture.
- Paving process: Appropriate expansion joints should be reserved when installing the floor to adapt to the expansion and contraction of the board caused by changes in temperature and humidity.
- Post-construction protection: The floor after paving needs to be properly protected to prevent foreign matter or paint from falling on the floor during decoration and construction, which will affect the quality of the floor.
- Cleaning and maintenance: The floor after paving should be cleaned using appropriate methods and avoid using corrosive cleaners to protect the floor surface.
- Paint protection: After the floor is laid, paint and polish it to increase the hardness of the floor surface and prevent damage.
- Avoid heavy pressure: Within 48 hours after the floor is laid, avoid frequent walking and placing heavy objects on the floor to avoid affecting the firmness of the floor adhesive bond.
- Adaptation period: The floor after paving should not be rushed for ventilation. It needs a period of time to adapt to the indoor temperature and humidity to reduce floor deformation caused by rapid drying.
- Regular waxing: Wax the floor once within 1 to 2 months after paving to extend the service life and moisture-proof effect of the floor.
By following these precautions, you can ensure the quality and durability of EPS cement sandwich panel flooring, providing a flooring solution that is both beautiful and functional.
