Roof panels are coated coverings used on buildings to effectively withstand the effects of natural snow, rain and storms in order to achieve aesthetic harmony with the geography and building structure. Roofs vary according to their load-bearing system, slope and coating material. They must be able to waterproof, insulate and soundproof while fulfilling their function of safely protecting the building from the external environment. The roof panels we offer are mainly EPS sandwich panels.
Features of EPS Roof Panels
Effective Thermal Insulation
These roof panels are specifically designed to fit under existing roofs to maintain an energy-efficient and temperature-controlled space and prevent heat from escaping through the roof. In addition to the roof, the panels can also be used as side cladding insulation. The thermal resistance range of these panels depends on the density and thickness of the panel.
Fire Retardant Properties
One of the primary properties of insulated roof panels is their fire resistance. Flame retardant EPS sheets provide excellent fire protection properties for a variety of industrial and commercial applications. These roof panels are composed of our flame retardant EPS sheets, laminated at high temperatures, with a PVC layer foil on one side of the panels.
Moisture and Chemical Repellent
Roof panels need to stay dry to effectively insulate and maintain their strength and durability even in the presence of damp, water and moisture conditions, as well as mold and bacteria. Our panels are non-hygroscopic and are not affected by moisture, mold or fungus. EPS has no nutritional value to insects, birds or pests, but is still effective as an insulator.
Safe, Non-Toxic and Recyclable
Roof panels are non-toxic, safe and maintenance-free. This makes the panels 100% safe and ideal for use in hygienic environments such as food or pharmaceutical production. Our EPS panels are 100% recyclable. Their waste materials can be reused to produce alternative products. The disposal of EPS material is safe for the environment.
Benefits of Roof Panels
Fast and Easy Installation
EPS Sandwich Roof Panels can be prepared with assembled components in the required size, insulation type and color based on your facility's structure. They install very easily with very few seams on wide surfaces. Therefore, your project can be delivered in a short time, saving you time.
Perfect Thermal Insulation
Insulation means less energy needed for heating in the winter and cooling in the summer. EPS sandwich panel is a building material that is very suitable for thermal insulation. It provides high thermal insulation performance through EPS insulation material. Sandwich panel insulation prevents problems such as mold and humidity caused by thermal movement and condensation and ensures your building is strong and durable.
Aesthetic Appearance of Your Buildings
You can liven up the facade of your building and achieve an aesthetically pleasing look with sandwich roof panels in different colors and structures, allowing them to be positioned horizontally, vertically or at an angle. Since their functionality can also be used in interior parts, you can create different designs using sandwich panels.
High Fire Resistance
When you choose fire-resistant sandwich roof panels that are suitable for your building, you can slow the spread of fire in and around the building, ensuring the safety of life and property within the building. When selecting fire-resistant sandwich panels, factors such as fire resistance and duration, as well as the size and height of the building, should be considered, with preference given to those with mineral wool or FM-approved PIR cores.
Air and Water Tightness
Thanks to their perfect seam details, our sandwich roof panels prevent air and water leaks. While they ensure continuity of insulation, no heat is lost at any point in the building. Therefore, you can control heating and cooling in your building and ensure energy efficiency. Sandwich panels have a waterproof structure that ensures active waterproofing, protection from natural conditions such as snow and rain, and protection against moisture and mold.
Investment Economy
Thanks to its easy installation, you can carry out extension and renovation projects without interrupting the building's daily activities. Additionally, these roof panels are economical and practical as they can be disassembled and reused. The lightness of sandwich panels allows you to gain advantages in terms of transportation and main construction costs. Additionally, due to its durable construction, its maintenance costs are low.

Expanded polystyrene sheets and panels are used for thermal insulation, from prefabricated wall systems and moldings to floor tiles and insulated ceilings. For roof and ceiling insulation, EPS panels offer a lightweight, durable and beautiful insulation solution. Main applications include:
Under Roof Tile Insulation
EPS panels can be installed on roof battens beneath the roof tiles for added thermal and acoustic insulation. These panels are lightweight and easy to install and install because EPS is 98% air. This means that the loads on the roof beams will be very small.
Flat Roof Insulation
EPS roof panels can be installed over waterproofing membranes to provide additional thermal and acoustic insulation to flat-roof buildings, extending the building’s durability.
Ceiling Insulation
EPS lightweight panels can be cut to create a tight fit between ceiling trusses. Additionally, the insulated ceiling surface is washable and does not require painting or camouflage.
Storage and Handling of Roof Panels
Keep away from Fire Sources: Panels should be stored away from flammable materials and fire hazards, such as areas where welding or burning work is performed. Panel storage and installation areas must also be smoke-free.
Move with Caution: All finishes on roof panels have good wear resistance, but care should be taken when moving and handling panels to prevent damage.
Protect Edges: Roof panel edges and corners are particularly vulnerable and should be protected.
Handle with Caution: Panels should be lifted at their ends, not at the edges. Be aware of sharp panel edges. It is recommended to wear safety gloves when handling the panels.
Never Drag: When removing roof panels from the stack, be sure not to drag them as small pieces of chips may remain between the panels, which could scratch the panels. When removing a panel, turn its edges first and then lift.
Lift with Caution: Roof panels should be lifted using ropes and slings rather than chains or cables. Wide spreaders should be placed above and below the panels to protect them from edge damage when lifted.
Proper Storage: If panels are stored in the open, they should be stacked off the ground and covered with weatherproof/UV-resistant film until needed.
Stack Correctly: Panels should not be stacked or exposed to rain and sun for long periods of time. Additionally, panels should be stacked neatly.
EPS Insulation VS Polyurethane Insulation
There is an ongoing debate as to whether expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation or polyurethane (PUR) insulation is the better insulation material. The following is a comparison of several aspects:
Insulation Type
Expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation is a rigid closed-cell plastic foam composed of hollow spherical beads fused together using steam. Because EPS insulation is 98% air, it is chemically inert. Polyurethane insulation is a type of foam insulation that contains low-conductivity gases in its cells.
01
R Value Comparison
Thermal Drift Polyurethane insulation has one of the highest initial (when installed) R-values per inch in the industry, higher than EPS insulation of equivalent thickness. Over time, it loses its R-value due to thermal drift. Unlike polyurethane, EPS insulation will retain its original R-value long after it is first installed.
02
Moisture Absorption/Dispersion
Research shows that EPS insulation installed on structurally sound roofs does not absorb significant moisture during long, cold, wet winter conditions. Absorbing the same amount of moisture (an average of 0.2 percent by weight) has little or no effect on its compressive or flexural strength, and EPS insulation retains 95 to 97 percent of its thermal efficiency. Polyurethane insulation, on the other hand, has low moisture permeability.
03
Mold Growth
Because both polyurethane insulation and EPS insulation have a closed-cell structure that resists moisture absorption, both products are equally resistant to mold growth.
04
Cost Comparison
Polyurethane insulation is more expensive than EPS insulation. This cost is due to the initial higher R-value. However, this R-value decreases over time due to thermal drift. And, after five years, the long-term thermal resistance of the two is similar. Obviously, EPS is a more cost-effective option.
